TechSolve conducted a one-year groundwater monitoring study to determine if potential liability for petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and groundwater was no longer present at the site due to the recovery system that had been operating for ten years. The purpose of the monitoring was also to promote the public interest by expediting cleanup activities and site redevelopment. Our confirmational monitoring, analysis, and reporting, performed over four consecutive quarters, established that all analytical results were below cleanup levels for soil and groundwater at the applicable point of compliance.
Key Project Elements:
- Investigation of contamination in soil and groundwater from petroleum hydrocarbons and light non-aqueous phase liquid (LNAPL)
- Low-flow purging and sampling techniques to conduct groundwater compliance monitoring
- Sampling and reporting confirmed the remedial objectives had been achieved and no additional corrective action was necessary
